Quilting Class: Sweet Pea Sling by Sassafras Lane Designs
Join us for a fun and creative quilting class where we’ll be making the stylish Sweet Pea Sling bag by Sassafras Lane Designs! This crossbody bag is perfect for showing off bold prints and learning new techniques.
Sewing experience is preferred, as the class will focus on assembly rather than basic sewing instruction. There is minimal prep required beforehand, so you can jump right into sewing!
Participants are welcome to select their own fabrics and hardware—bring your favorite prints and colors to make your bag uniquely yours! Need help picking materials? We’re happy to guide you through your choices before class begins. There is also a Sweet Pea Sling hardware kit already assembled and ready to go!

| Skill Details: | Sewing and piecing experience is required. Participants will need to complete minimal work independently prior to class. This will allow us to get right into sewing! |
| Requirements: | Materials: *Sweet Pea Sling Pattern *SPS hardware kit or other hardware set with needed pieces You will also need coordinating thread, 1/2 yd bag fabric, 1/2 yd lining fabric, zipper*, 1/8 yd accent fabric (cork/vinyl, not cottons), 3/8 yd foam interfacing, 1/2 yd light weight interfacing *For the zipper you will need at least 30in and 3 pulls from a "zipper-by-the-yard" or 1-9" and 1-21" zipper. Tools: Sewing machine, cutting tools, pins/clips, seam ripper, zipper foot, scissors, marking tool, ruler. A full supplies list and directions will be sent by email after registration is complete. |
